Reading head start review in details:
This reading head start review is my honest opinion discussing the positives and the negatives of the program so feel free to read and make your decision.
I have also, included a better alternative later in the review.
A point to be made clear:
This reading program doesn’t contain a shortcut to succeed in teaching your kid reading you have to be patient and organized.
On the other hand, If you appreciate and understand the strategy behind each lesson plan and try to make your kid enjoy the short daily sessions as explained by the program, you will get results.
The Reading Head Start Program is a new reading program for kids as young as 3 years old.
It contains a step-by-step plan for teaching your children reading skills.
The program is designed by Sarah Shepard an English teacher experienced in teaching literacy skills.
The reading head start program consists of 40 lessons you have to complete with your child (details below).
The Reading head start program aims to help kids be better readers.
Unlike the traditional method of teaching reading which teaches words as a whole,
it trains the child to identify single letter sounds and combine these sounds to pronounce the word.
The reason is using the traditional method of teaching makes the child unable to read unfamiliar words.
The basis of Reading Head Start is that children learn language not through tests or other vocabulary exercises, but through listening to the sound of each letter.
It was this simple concept that put the basis for the reading head start program.

Pros:
1-Prepares your child for kindergarten and improving his literacy skills.
2-Decent collection of printable flashcards and worksheets for your kid to practice.
Cons:
1-The program claims to have a special secret to teaching reading which is an exaggeration. (On the other hand, It depends on a balanced literacy approach which is a modern and excellent approach but not a secret as claimed).
2- I don’t think it can reverse dyslexia.
3- Price not suitable for everyone.
4-Better alternatives: An alternative reading program with a better track record and a lower price is the children learning reading program.

I really like how you speak truth with your better alternative and back it up with the better track record. Other than that, it’s a great review. But I’mma go with your alternative, thanks!
Good page, thanks for looking out for the the future of children.

I have a question how does it work when you have more than one child,Is the Price the same or is it separately
It is the same
its an effective way to teach your kids. its even more applicable now, since we are not able to send our kids to school.
Great tool for children, very helpful in these uncertain times with covid and kids having to possibly home school.
